Cell Phone Use
Wrentham Public Schools, in cooperation with the families of our students, share the responsibility of teaching students to be responsible and respectful digital citizens. Part of this citizenship requires that they not let personal devices, such as cell phones, disrupt their learning or interfere with the learning of their classmates. Although students may bring cell phones with them to school, their phones must remain off and in their backpacks at all times throughout the school day. Teachers, support staff, and administration reserve the right to confiscate cell phones from students who are in violation of this cell phone policy. Additionally, cell phones may not be used on the school busses and may be taken away by bus drivers at their discretion. If a student has their cell phone confiscated, a family member will then be contacted to retrieve the item.
