Freckle

Freckle is used in the classroom by all Wrentham students to practice either teacher-assigned skills or they work at their own level during independent practice. At home, students can practice the following:

  • Number Basics – This is a good choice for Kindergarten and early Grade 1 students to strengthen number sense at their own level.
  • Adaptive Math – All students K-3 - Choose any domain for adaptive learning. If your child has not practiced in a specific domain in the past, a 10 question assessment will be given to determine the appropriate starting level.
  • Fact Practice – All students K-3 – This is a great way for students to earn “coins” while practicing their math facts!

Note to Families: During the summer months, "Adaptive Math" will be available for all students! Recognizing that many students may not have chosen Freckle Adaptive Math during remote learning time, each student's learning path has been reset for the summer. They can begin practicing at their "Just Right" level by taking a ten question placement assessment for each domain. For those students that have been practicing Adaptive Math all along, no worries! The short placement assessment should place you right where you left off practicing. Remember, Freckle is meant to be for independent practice. When students receive help they will move along the learning path too quickly. This may lead to frustration if questions become too difficult. Again, no worries! If you find this has happened to your student, simply contact Dr. Beauchaine at beauchainev@wrenthamschools.org and she will reset the learning level. If your student does not have their log in information, they can also contact Dr. Beauchaine. Have fun earning coins while you practice your math!!
