Allan Cameron started working as superintendent of schools in Wrentham on July 1, 2014. He lives with his wife, 3 children, and dog in Walpole, MA.
Prior to that he was the interim assistant superintendent of schools in Westwood, MA; principal of Deerfield School in Westwood, MA; vice principal and guidance counselor at Lawrence School in Brookline, MA; and teacher of grades 3, 4, and 5 in Westport, CT.
He was Honorably Discharged from the Army National Guard after 10 years of service as a light infantry platoon leader, combat medic, and TOW missile gunner.

Dr. Cameron has B.A.s in English and Psychology from the University of Connecticut, M.A. in Elementary Education from Fairfield University, and Ph.D. in Education Administration from Boston College. He received several awards including 2 Army Achievement Medals, 3 Army Reserve Component Achievement Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Boston College Donald J. White Teaching Excellence Award, and the Milken Educator Award.
