 CLASSROOM NEWSLETTER

February 26th, 2018

I hope you all had a lovely February Vacation week and were able to enjoy some of the beautiful weather.

Our 100th Day of school was met with much enthusiasm. The children enjoyed counting to 100, finding 100 words in the classroom, reading 100 words and writing about what they would buy if they had $100.

Valentine's Day was a fun day where the children enjoyed handing out special cards to friends and also making cards to bring home. We talked about ways we can be kind to people and about using kind words. Thank you to Mrs. Franklin and Mrs. Aragao for organizing some fun crafts and activities for out Valentine Celebration.

You may have heard that all the Kindergarten children were paid a visit by Mrs. Wagstaff and Dr. Cameron, who praised the children for their efforts during Readers Workshop and using their Super Reading Powers to become Super Readers.

This Wednesday, we will be going to the Book Fair. If you would like to come, you are welcome to join us in the Vogel Auditorium from 9-9:30am. If you are not able to join us and you would like your child to buy a book, you can send in an envelope/baggie with their name on it, and we will make sure to help them. Purchasing books is OPTIONAL.
